BMI calculator

By Melvin Morina · Updated 2026-08-26 · Free, no signup, nothing leaves your browser

Enter your height and weight; the calculator returns your BMI and its CDC category. The reason BMI appears all over GLP-1 conversations: the Wegovy and Zepbound labels describe use from BMI 30, or from 27 with a weight-related condition. That is a label fact, not an eligibility verdict — the decision belongs to a prescriber.

The GLP-1 label thresholds

The Wegovy and Zepbound labels describe use in adults with BMI ≥ 30, or BMI ≥ 27 with at least one weight-related condition (for example hypertension, type 2 diabetes or dyslipidaemia). Insurers and telehealth providers commonly use those same thresholds. Meeting a number on this page is not a prescription — it is one input to a conversation with a prescriber.

What BMI can't tell you

BMI is weight scaled for height, nothing more. It cannot distinguish muscle from fat, it misreads very muscular and very lean-mass-depleted bodies in opposite directions, and it says nothing about where fat sits, which matters metabolically. It persists because it is a fast, free screening number — useful for population thresholds, weak as a personal verdict.

Track the numbers that move

Bo tracks your weight trend, your weight-loss percentage and your goal progress next to your doses — the numbers that actually change week to week.

Half-lives are population averages from the sources cited on each row; individual clearance varies with body weight, kidney and liver function, and other medication.
